Founder Chairman’s Profile

Mr. Fazlur Rahman was a Sponsor Director of the Company. The Board unanimously elected him as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dhaka Insurance Limited at its inception in the year 2000 and he was in the Chair till February, 2012. He resigned from the Directorship on 28 February, 2012 honoring the statutory obligations.

Mr. Rahman is a prominent business personality of the country and involved in diverse area of business like Vegetable oil, Sugar, Food items and Agricultural commodities. He is the Chairman of City Group and Somay Media Limited. He is the former Chairman of Jamuna Bank Limited. He is the member of Trustee Board of Atish Dipankar University. Mr. Rahman is also deeply involved in many social activities and being acted vital role in various Organizations & Associations. He is a widely travelled person across the globe on business trips.
